Harlem Meets San Antonio
Posted in: Good Morning America

The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem danced to La Raspa and gladly sang along to Celito Lindo with San Antonio’s 10-piece all female group Mariachi Las Alteñas yesterday afternoon. The 6-11 year old boys and girls already knew the words to Celito Lindo which they sang with much passion.
The students got a taste of San Antonio with more treats that included a Mexican food dinner and a piñata party. They were ecstatic over hitting the piñata and dived for pieces of candy with the same level of excitement as children from San Antonio. Each child received their own miniature piñata filled with candy and a San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau pencil.
The visit was part of the unveiling of the San Antonio window on Good Morning America yesterday. The window will be up for display at the studios of Good Morning America on Times Square through the end of December. It’s a must see as the window depicts the beauty of San Antonio with colorful piñatas and images of everything from the Alamo to the Spurs and the River Walk to the Missions.
