No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win. A Purchase Will Not Improve Your Chances of Winning.

1. How to Enter:

Eligibility: No purchase is necessary to enter or claim prize. The Twitter Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are at least twenty-one (21) years of age.  The San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau (“Sponsor”) and their respective companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, advertising agencies, and the families and persons living in the same household as such employees, are not eligible to participate.  The Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited or restricted by law or regulations.

There is one way to win: by random drawing through online entry.

Entry is free of charge. Twitter account membership is required. How to Enter:

(1) Follow @visitsanantonio on Twitter.

Each follow counts as one registration.  A person can register once.  The Sweepstakes begins at 9:00 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on October 19, 2009  and ends at 4 p.m. CT on October 23, 2009 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).  In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, the entrant will be the registered owner of the Twitter account.  Entries will not be acknowledged.

Selection Of Winners: RANDOM DRAWING: Up to five (5) random drawings will be held to select up to five (5) winners. Daily drawings will be conducted at the end of each day during the Sweepstakes Period where the Sponsor will randomly select one entrant from the eligible pool of entries.  The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries (followers) received.

The winners will be notified by tweet and Twitter direct message on or about 24 hours after the daily applicable entry period ends.  The decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Winner will be required to sign and return to Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within five (5) days of the date of winning notification; otherwise the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be randomly selected. Only one (1) entry per Twitter account is allowed. Entry must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. CT at the end of each day during the Sweepstakes Period. The San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau assumes no responsibility for illegible, lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, technically corrupted or stolen entries. Entries become the property of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau and will not be acknowledged or returned. The San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau reserves the right to send San Antonio literature to each entrant in the future.

1. Prizes are as follows:

Game Tickets
Each winner will receive 2 game admission tickets and 2 VIP passes redeemable at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX on October 31, 2009, for the sole purpose of attending the Notre Dame vs. Washington State football game on October 31, 2009. Winner must pick up the tickets beginning at noon October 31, 2009, at the North East “Will Call” window at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. The tickets are stamped not for resale.

Attraction Passes

Each winner receives:

1.    Passes for two people to Ripley’s Haunted Adventure

2.    Passes for two people to ONE of the following, to be distributed at the discretion of the Sponsor: Institute of Texan Cultures; Buckhorn Saloon and Museum/Texas Ranger Museum; Tower of the Americas/Skies Over Texas 4D Theatre Ride; IMAX Theatre Rivercenter; Ripley’s Believe It or Not & Louis Tussands Wax Works.
All other expenses not listed are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Unused portions of prizes will be forfeited. No substitutions will be made for any prize except at the discretion of San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, who may substitute prizes of equivalent, lesser or greater value. No cash in lieu of prize.

Total ARV of all prizes: $2,000.00.  All federal, state, and local taxes, and all other expenses not expressly listed above are the sole responsibility of the winners.

1. Odds: Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries (followers) received during the entry period.
2. Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry, except employees of San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, participating hotels and attractions, their agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families and persons residing in the same household. Void in Puerto Rico and anywhere outside of the U.S., and where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. General: Entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph, biographical information and any statements regarding this Sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional, and advertising purposes on behalf of San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau without notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law. Winners may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity within five (5) days of notification attempt or an alternate winner will be selected by a random drawing. All persons accompanying the Grand Prize winner, or their parent/guardian if a minor, will be required to sign a Liability/Publicity Release prior to the trip. By accepting a prize, each winner releases San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, its affiliates and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, including without limitation property damages, personal injury and/or death arising out of participating in this Sweepstakes, the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, or travel to or from any sweepstakes related activity, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.
4. Applicable Law: Subject to all U.S. federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any taxes due on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
5. Internet: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, at which time, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received at the time of the Sweepstakes termination. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on a Twitter account, the winning entry will be declared the “Authorized Account Holder” of the Twitter account submitted at time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person 21 years of age or older who is assigned to a Twitter account by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or the Twitter organization (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Use of automated devices is not valid for entry.
6. Use of Data: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about entrants online, in accordance with its privacy policy.  Please review the Sponsor’s privacy policy at http://visitsanantonio.com/legal/index.aspx. By participating in the Sweepstakes and to the extent permitted by law, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policy.  Creation of a Twitter account and use of the Twitter social network are governed by the Twitter privacy policy.
7. Name of the Winners: For the name of the winners, available after the random drawing dates stated above in #2, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau. Attn: Marketing Department, 203 S. St. Mary’s, Suite 200, San Antonio, Texas 78205 and note that you are requesting a winners list. The list of winners will be available until January 1^st, 2010.
8. Sponsor: This Sweepstakes is sponsored and promoted by the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, 203 S. St. Mary’s, Suite 200, San Antonio, Texas 78205.
