Located in the Brackenridge Park, just north of Downtown and along the banks of the San Antonio River, the Witte Museum has a wonderful showcase of South Texas’ history, culture, and natural science. Permanent exhibits include dinosaur skeletons, cave drawings, wildlife dioramas, and even live animals. The campus features reconstructed historic homes and the popular H-E-B Science Treehouse with four levels of hands-on fun and experimentation with energy, air power, simple machines, eco-science, weather, and sound waves. New galleries and exhibits open regularly and showcase everything from Texas artists, textiles and local and traveling national exhibits.
